NetBet Review

NetBet Review – How Good is This UK Bookmaker?

NetBet is a well-known betting operator in Europe and wider. Being established in 2001, the bookmaker amassed a serious player base from both the UK and Europe. Apart from its sportsbook, it offers casino, lotto, and poker websites, to make gambling and betting much more fulfilling. Today, in our review, we’ll see if NetBet Sport is worth your time and money. Stay with us for our completely honest and unbiased review of NetBet online bookmaker.

NetBet Welcome Bonus – Is It Generous?

NetBet Welcome Bonus 1

For the newcomers, a welcome bonus is most likely the most important thing. Sure, the registration is always simple but we somehow always expect some sort of welcome offer, despite doing anything to get it. But, we can thank UK online bookies for spoiling us!

To be eligible for a welcome bonus, register on NetBet, enter the code WELCOME50EN when depositing cash, and get a £50 bonus automatically applied on your deposit. While it surely sounds generous, we’d like to take a look at its conditions and see if there’s more than it meets the eye.

NetBet Welcome Bonus 2

We see that it’s a 50% bonus, up to £50, actually. The maximum you can get is obviously £50, and to get that, you must deposit £100. 50% of £100 is £50 – simple mathematics. Given that NetBet gives you a bonus without a deposit, there are some strings attached.

The first is the wagering requirements of 8 times on trebles and upwards. Sadly, these requirements apply to both your bonus and deposit, making things bloody hard. If you deposit £50 and you get £25 as a bonus, you need to wager £75 * 8 = £600. That’s quite a lot. Wait, we haven’t finished yet!

To wager your bonus, you must bet on the odds of at least 1.60 per selection. Moreover, Skrill and Neteller aren’t eligible for a welcome bonus, so don’t use them – use PayPal or VISA instead.

It’s interesting how NetBet mentions that users from the UK can’t participate in any promotions. However, we were still able to access all of them easily, including the welcome bonus.

That’s in vain, however, given that the welcome bonus isn’t very good in terms of wagering requirements. We like the 888Sport’s bonus more. It’s “only” £30 but with no wagering requirements.

NetBet Promotions – Are There Some?

NetBet Promotions

When you open up the Promotions menu, NetBet doesn’t seem very generous. There’s a welcome bonus here, but also a welcome offer for smartphone users and a bet maker, that we’re going to mention later in this 2021 NetBet review.

You can find other promotions if you scroll all the way down on the home page, where more interesting offers reside. We aren’t going to mention all of them. Instead, we’re going to talk about two of them that we like the most.

NetBet Promotions 3

Of course, we like it when mobile users are treated equally as the PC user base. Mobile users who register using a smartphone (iOS or Android) will get the chance to receive a £10 free bet bonus. What you need to do is register, opt-in, and deposit at least £10.

Then, place a qualifying bet of £10 on the odds of at least 1.6 and you’ll get £10 more when the bet settles. As expected, there are no wagering requirements and you can get the bonus regardless of the outcome of your bet – it can be a winning or a losing one, doesn’t matter.

NetBet Promotions 4

If you like price boosters, NetBet offers a pretty good promotion. You don’t even have to opt-in here. By default, the bookmaker will boost your winnings when you add 3 or more selections to the bet slip. That apply to tennis, basketball, football, baseball, American football, and ice hockey.

3 selections will yield a 3% boost, while 13 or more selections boost your winnings by 50%.

There are a few more interesting promotions offered, but as we said, we won’t delve deeper into them. The important thing is that NetBet will properly award your loyalty and effort with its daily offers.

Deposit/Withdrawal Methods and Limits

NetBet Payment Methods

Another thing where NetBet impresses is the variety of payment methods. The image you see above shows all the payment methods that the bookmaker offers, although not all of them are available for UK users.

In the UK, some of the payment services you can use are Neteller, Skrill PayPal, VISA/MasterCard, and Paysafecard. This is a satisfying roster of methods where you’ll surely find the one that you can successfully use.

What about payment limits? Let’s start with deposits first. The minimum deposit here is £10 and this amount of money is eligible for a welcome bonus. That is if you didn’t deposit using Skrill or Neteller.

The maximum deposit is user-controlled, so it can be either a particular sum of money or unlimited – depending on your choice. We like that deposits are instant and can be realized with no fees.

If you won some good cash on NetBet, you might want to withdraw money. In that case, you can use the same method, with small fees, and withdraw as little as £10. There aren’t upper withdrawal limits, which is great, but on the other hand, withdrawal times are very slow.

For instance, Skrill, PayPal, and Neteller take from 2 to 4 days, while credit/debit cards can go up to 8 days.

NetBet Betting Variety

NetBet spent a lot of time on the UK betting market, so it’s normal to expect a decent choice of sports and non-sports events to bet on. Sure enough, the bookmaker doesn’t waste any time introducing you to its vast choice of betting options.

NetBet Sports Variety

In total, there are 32 types of sports to bet on, which is really an impressive number if you want our opinion. You can enjoy betting on football, tennis, rugby, handball, table tennis, greyhounds, cricket, and even boxing. The largest betting market is the football one, followed by American football, horse racing, greyhounds, and virtual sports.

Despite being a UK bookmaker, NetBet makes sure that all the sports are treated equally, and that’s awesome.

Betting Options

A huge choice of sports means nothing if betting markets are scarce. You can have all the leagues and competitions you want, but if you can’t enjoy betting variety properly, everything is in vain.

Let’s see in this part of our review, how good NetBet is in this regard.

NetBet Betting Options Football

What you see above is the football betting market, which is as large as it can be. In total, you get around 120 betting markets for this sport, which will let you bet efficiently and with lots of variety.

You can bet on 1×2 full time, total goals, correct score, 3W handicap, 2nd half goals, Asian handicap 1st half, both teams to score, and dozens more. As expected, the bookmaker performs well when it comes to football betting.

NetBet Betting Options Tennis

If you love tennis, you’ll have a pretty good time on NetBet. Sure, this isn’t the best tennis betting market we saw, but there are plenty of options that you can go for. Some of them are winner full time, handicap games, sets over/under, any set to finish to Nil, total games, and a winner by sets.

NetBet Betting Options MMA

The MMA betting market on NetBet is quite… shallow, to be honest. At the time of writing the review, we could only bet on the Moneyline Full Time, despite it being an upcoming match.

There are no submission methods, number of rounds, and other typical bets for this sport. Apart from that, the bookmaker is average when it comes to betting markets in general.

You probably won’t be very impressed, but also not dissatisfied, even if you’re a slightly demanding user.

The Odds at NetBet – Are They Competitive Enough?

With the Champions League on the way, we always love checking some matches for good football odds. Although this year wasn’t great for football and betting fans in general, some bookmakers still held up to the standards.

Is NetBet one of them? Let’s compare it with 888Sport and see how well it stacks up.

NetBet vs 888Sport Odds
NetBet (Above) vs 888Sport (Below)

This time, we compared two matches from the Champions League, and the results are okay for this bookmaker. On average, 888Sport has better odds, which is expected. For example, the odds for Chelsea were 5.95 on NetBet, while 888Sport has 6.25 – that’s a lot higher.

The same can be said for Napoli, where the odds are higher by 0.3. Overall, NetBet isn’t very competitive in terms of odds, thus we recommend 888Sport instead.

NetBet Special Features

The special features on NetBet aren’t ground-breaking nor they’re something to brag about. But, given that you still get a few of them, we can’t go on with the review of NetBet without mentioning them.

In-Play Betting

NetBet Live Betting

Live betting is a must-have feature for every UK online bookmaker. Some bookmakers have it, but the way they do it is not very intuitive or informative. This bookmaker, on the other hand, does things okay, albeit, it could be a bit better.

We have a small match overview on the right, with only basic statistics at the top of the screen. We’d like it to have more statistics like ball possession and general statistics about the two rival teams.

Bet Builder

NetBet Bet Builder

Bet builder is called Bet Maker on this website but it’s exactly the same thing. You can combine two, three, or more bets in a single bet, and make it tailored to your needs. For instance, you can bet on the team to win, score 3 goals, and get two yellow cards.

The odds of each bet will multiply, giving you higher odds for your combined bet. We use this feature a lot and it’s very useful for getting more money the easier way.

Add2Bet

NetBet Add2Bet

Lastly, we have a feature called Add2Bet, which lets you take total control over your bet. What it allows you is to change your bet on the fly, in case you change your mind. You just need to open the bet slip, find the eligible bet, and change it how you like.

If you bet on Chelsea to win, you can go back and add 3+ to increase the odds and possibly earn more money.

NetBet Mobile Gaming Experience

NetBet Mobile

Mobile betting is getting more popular each day, and in 2021, a vast majority of bettors come exactly from iOS and Android platforms. NetBet offers apps for both of them, but we think after review that the betting app on iOS is slightly better.

On the Apple Store, NetBet Sport has 4.0 stars and 35 ratings, which isn’t all that bad. Our experience with the app is positive, as it looks pretty much the same as the website. We like that you can access the casino from here, as well, so you have the whole package on your phone.

This comes at a small cost – the app size. The initial download is 90 MB but when you install it, it goes well over 200 MB. For today’s phones, that’s not a big problem, though. How good is the app, however?

We’d say good enough. It doesn’t stutter or lag and you can easily navigate your way through the menus. All the options are easily accessible, as well as payment options and live betting.

Overall, it’s not the best betting app out there, and a much better choice would be MansionBet, which is one of the highest-rated betting apps on the Apple Store.

How Fair and Secure is NetBet?

NetBet Security

If a bookmaker isn’t fair, secure, and safe enough, everything we said in our review is pointless. Let’s see how good NetBet is in this regard. First of all, NetBet is a company registered in Malta, with a license from MGA. Apart from this license, it’s also licensed by the UK, Gibraltar, Alderney, Curacao, and Belgium.

As we can see, the company has a fair bit of reputation across the UK and Europe. This bookmaker is owned by NetBet Enterprises, which is a company based in Ireland – another neighbor country to the UK.

With 96.54% of payout rate, though NetBet is slightly below the average of 97%, but that’s nothing alarming. On the brighter side, companies like GamStop and GambleAware are here, and they do their job when it comes to responsible gambling.

Although RNG (Random Number Generator) has nothing to do with the bookmaker, it’s good that iTech Labs is here, making sure that every game is random, without any patterns. Lastly, the website uses 128-bit SSL encryption for added security and safety.

Having 6 licenses in total, it’s pretty clear that NetBet is a verified, trusted, and fair online bookmaker.

Loyalty Program

NetBet VIP Club

VIP club in an online bookmaker? You must be kidding us!

Well, as you can see, NetBet offers a special NetBet VIP Sports Club that lets you enjoy all the benefits of VIP membership. That’s all great, but the question is – how do I become a VIP member?

And that’s where this feature loses a bit of credibility.

The bookmaker doesn’t state anywhere how to receive VIP status, nor does it give hints on what to do to accelerate that process. All it shows are the rewards and promotions you can get, and that’s it.

While we value the presence of this feature, we can’t help but think of it as a missed opportunity. A much better VIP scheme can be found on 888Sport, where you can actively participate, collect comp points, and raise your status on the website.

NetBet Customer Support

NetBet Contact

At first when doing this NetBet review, the bookmaker’s customer support seems really simplistic. You get a simple contact form and a live chat widget. However, customer support here is very efficient… when it actually works.

Live chat service, for example, isn’t available 24/7. They do work on Sundays, but each day, they work from 9 am to 23 pm UK time. It’s “only” 13 hours a day, and not 24 hours, as is the case with many online bookies.

Once again, when support is available, you get a response pretty much instantaneously, in around 30 seconds. Email support is a bit slower, but you still get a response in about 1 to 2 hours.

The support team is knowledgeable enough and was patient for our persistent informational questions. That’s always a good thing, so you can chat with them whenever you’re bored… just kidding – don’t do that!

What do Other Users Think About NetBet?

Before moving on to the conclusion of this in-depth review, let’s see what other users think about NetBet. Our main source of reviews is Trustpilot, as it is the most credible site for this purpose.

NetBet Trustpilot 1

NetBet doesn’t have a lot of reviews online, implying that it’s not a very popular option. But, the review we found is a pretty positive one. The user likes pretty much everything about the bookmaker, including fast support, verification process, and promotions.

NetBet Trustpilot 2

Another review we found about NetBet is positive as well, although it’s too long, so we had to cut it down. Generally speaking, the user is satisfied with NetBet as both the bookmaker and a casino. However, this review just points out the good features about it, and isn’t very subjective, despite the 5 stars the user gave.

A few bad reviews we found accused NetBet of being a scam, but that’s typical for many online UK bookmakers. It has 2.8 stars on Trustpilot, which isn’t very good, especially when compared to Betway with 4 stars.

Conclusion – Should You Bet on NetBet?

It’s time to end our review with a proper conclusion to everything we said about the bookmaker.

NetBet is, overall, not a bad bookie. It has solid promotions, lots of betting markets, and an intuitive website and mobile apps. There are a few things we’d like to improve, however. The odds aren’t very competitive, withdrawals are slow, and its promotions aren’t available for more than 30 countries around the globe, yet the bookmaker is available for registering.

We like that there’s a VIP program, as well as responsive customer support when it’s available. By no means is this a bad bookmaker. But, if we take a look at its competition, it’s slightly overshadowed, especially on the UK betting landscape.

For that reason, 888Sport is a much better option for UK players, hence it’s our recommended choice.

How to Register on NetBet?

With our NetBet review out of the way, it’s time to see how to register on this online UK bookmaker. Click on the registration button at the home page and the bookmaker will take you to the first registration step:

NetBet Register 1

As we can see, NetBet’s registration can be done in 4 simple steps. The first one involves entering your email, password, the currency you want to use, and the country you’re from. We like that NetBet supports a plethora of countries, unlike other betting sites that are strictly available for the UK.

For example, people from Eastern Europe can play on it.

NetBet Register 2

With the first step out of the way, the second one includes a bit more personal information. You need to enter your full name as shown in your ID/passport, date of birth, and a unique username. Once you complete that, click the button that says Go To Contact.

NetBet Register 3

The last step is pretty simple. After entering your mobile phone, you need to type in your address. You can do it automatically by entering the first few letters of the address, or do so manually. NetBet might not be able to locate you successfully, so we advise you to go the manual route.

NetBet Register 4

In this step, you can choose to enter a bonus code if you have one. Alternatively, you can tick the box to be contacted about promotions and bonuses, which we don’t advise if you don’t want to keep your email nice and clean.

The last box, however, must be ticked to confirm that every bit of information you entered is genuine and that you have more than 18 years. And with that, the registration process is tutto completo.

Verification Process – What Do You need?

NetBet Verification

When you register, NetBet lets you roam the site and deposit some funds. But, when you get to the withdrawal part, that’s where you’ll need to take care of something – verification.

Verifying an account on this bookmaker is quite simple if you did everything right. There are 3 types of documents needed, for 3 different verifications.

The first is your ID verification, which you can do with a national ID, passport, or a driving license. Next, you need to prove your address with a utility bill or a bank statement not older than 6 months.

Lastly, for verifying your payment method, take a photo of your credit/debit card where 4 last numbers on the back are visible. Even if you use PayPal or Neteller, for instance, you’ll still need to verify the source that you use for funding your account.

Take sharp photos of the required documents, upload them on the site, and you’re pretty much done if every bit of info is true.
